Putting Horses First

Our two core programs, the Early Development Program and the Rescue & Rehabilitation Program, are built with the horses' best interests at heart. We recognize that each horse is unique, and we strive to connect with them mentally, emotionally, and physically. No whips, no performance-enhancing drugs—just a partnership built on respect and a love for the sport.

In North America, overreliance on drugs like Lasix has led to a weakened breed, as artificially enhanced genetics are passed down through generations. Our aim is to produce horses that are champions because of their natural strength and well-being—not because of a pharmaceutical boost. We’re striving for a future where drug-free, ethical training practices are the new standard, and where horse welfare is at the forefront of the racing world.

A Different Kind of Training

Our training methods set us apart from the traditional Thoroughbred racing approach. Instead of relying on force and fear, we prioritize building trust with our horses. We believe that every horse deserves time outside to be, well, a horse—to graze, socialize, and feel the sun on their back. By doing this, we prepare our horses for racing in a way that allows them to thrive. On race day, they feel ready, not strained. It's this compassionate approach that sets our horses up for success and leaves them with a sense of joy in their work.

Early Development Program

Our Early Development Program begins even before birth. We ensure our broodmares have a peaceful and natural environment, with 24/7 pasture grazing to minimize stress. Foals are introduced to gentle human contact from the beginning, helping them form positive associations and learn to trust. From developing strong neural pathways to maintaining emotional and physical health, our complete approach ensures a balanced foundation from day one.

Life Beyond Racing

Savvy Racing is more than just a racing stable—it's a community that believes in providing a dignified life for every horse. If one of our horses isn't suited to continue racing, we prepare them for other careers, matching them with loving homes. Those who are better suited for retirement are welcomed to Savvy Ridge Farms, our partner facility in Bee Branch, Arkansas, where they can enjoy a life of rest and care.
